Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The compass represents the unit's peacetime mission to strive to improve the quality of life for Airmen at home. It also represents the high precision and expertise that the unit uses to support the Joint Base and its mission partners. The gear is symbolic of the Squadron's charter to build, repair and maintain the different components of the Joint Base critical to mission success. The lightning flashes represent the Squadron's capability to provide highly trained Airmen at a moment's notice to support the mission across the globe.
