Description/Blazon

On a disc Sable above in dexter base within a demi-gear Gris, a demi-globe Azure gridlined of the first a winged wagon wheel Bronze, wings Or, emitting a trail to the globe Argent (Silver Gray) detailed of the first, all within a narrow border Black.

Attached above the disc, a Yellow scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "YOU NEED IT WE MOVE IT" in Black letters.

Attached below the disc, a Yellow scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "8TH EXP AIR MOBILITY SQUADRON" in Black letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The pair of wings represents transports to the unit's service. The wagon wheel symbolizes the unit's transportation section. The gear around the globe symbolizes the maintenance department. All elements of the patch represent the Squadron's motto, "You Need It We Move It."
