Description/Blazon

On a disk per bend Azure and Celeste in sinister a winged globe on its axis Or gridlined Gold Brown, bearing a cross couped Gules wings Argent detailed Gray endorsed toward dexter base, all within a diminished border Black.

Attached above the disc, a Yellow scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "42D MEDICAL SUPPORT SQ" in Black letters.

Attached below the disc, a Yellow scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "SUPPORT IS OUR MISSION" in Black letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The background of light blue and dark blue represents the 24-hour worldwide medical mission required of the unit. The wings suggest swiftness and protection. The red cross symbolizes the Squadron's medical profession.
