Description/Blazon

On a disc per bend Azure and Vert a lightning flash bendwise throughout Or, between in chief three stacks of coins two and one Argent and in base a sword of the third between two fleurs-de-lis Sable, all within a diminished border Gules.

Attached below the disc, a Green scroll edged with a narrow Red border and inscribed "82D COMPTROLLER SQ" in Red letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The lightning flash represents the personnel of the unit and their rapid response to the needs of its parent organization. The sword implies parent unit mission and the two fleurs-de-lis indicate the Squadron's financial support to two wings. The stacks of coins symbolize the unit's prudent use and management of resources.
