Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. A jet aircraft with exhaust plume, contrails and shock waves represents the Squadron's mission to test aircraft including their performance, propulsion, flying qualities and structure capabilities. A runway represents the units' mission to accomplish a variety of ground, taxi, takeoff and landing tests to evaluate aircraft subsystems, reliability and maintainability. Another aircraft represents the unit's ability to evaluate the human factors, cargo decelerations systems and mission suitability. The Latin motto, "Veritatem Comperi," translates to "Find the Truth" in English.
