Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The six white stars, arranged in the shape of the Big Dipper, signify the six elements of the unit--Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Intelligence and Weather. The larger white star in the position of Polaris represents the Eleventh Air Force. This star is tilted to the left, reminiscent of the Eleventh Air Force insignia. The six smaller stars represent the support that the Group provides to its major command.
