Description/Blazon

On a disc Azure, issuant from sinister base a cloud Argent fimbriated Or, in dexter chief a cross couped Gules, overall a dexter gauntlet bendwise Gray detailed Sable grasping a spear bendwise sinister shaft Yellow the point as a flight symbol of the fifth garnished White, all within a diminished border Black.

Attached above the disc, a Yellow scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "59TH READINESS SQ" in Black letters.

Attached below the disc, a Yellow scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "THE TIP OF THE SPEAR" in Black letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The cross denotes the medical personnel of the unit. The gauntlet grasping a flight symbol tipped spear symbolizes the Squadron as part of the organization's fighting capability and aeromedical evacuation function. The cloud taken from the parent organization's coat of arms reflects the support the unit provides to the defense of the country.
