Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The cluster of five stars against a sky represents valor and the theater in which the Group supports the mission. The beams radiating from the joint stars down to the earth's surface represent the advanced detection technology developed by the Group. The two large diagonal bands bonded together represent how the unit bonds together to perform the mission, and the three smaller bands represent the many Air Force organizations teaming to support the unit's mission.
