Description/Blazon

On a disc Azure, a Phoenix Gules issuant from flames surmounting to dexter, sinister, and between three lightning flashes Or radiating from and terminating to three mullets of the first, one and two, all fimbriated Argent, all within a narrow border Yellow.

Attached above the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "KEEPING YOU CONNECTED" in Yellow letters.

Attached below the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "744TH COMMUNICATIONS SQ" in Yellow letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The firebird represents the undying warrior spirit. The three stars symbolize the warrior domain defended through satellite and wireless communications and bring unity to the unit structure. The three lightning bolts signify actions between command decisions, domain effect to the warfighter missions, as well as the dynamic energy of personnel.
