Description/Blazon

Per bend sinister Sable and Azure, three lightning flashes arrayed in sinister chief Or, terminating between seven mullets descending from chief bendwise sinister, one, two, two, and two. In base a gauntlet Argent shaded Silver Gray detailed of the first grasping a sword point to dexter chief of the fourth, blood line Black, hilt of the third, all within a diminished bordure of the same.

Attached below the shield, a White scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "728TH ARMAMENT SYSTEMS GROUP" in Blue letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The background represents the night time environment and deceptive nature of the unit's mission. The white stars symbolize the noble work of the unit to accomplish its mission. The yellow lightning flashes allude to the electronic warfare portion of the mission. The silver gauntlet grasping the sword symbolizes the armament and striking power of the systems developed by the unit.
