Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The aircraft refers to the close connection to the warfighter on the ground and the unit's adaptability to ensure that goods are delivered when needed in the heat of battle. The lightning bolt and wrench symbolize the maintenance profession. The bolt and wrench also stand for the courage, patriotism, strength and valor with which the unit performs its mission. The lozenge represents the State of Delaware, the diamond state, and the level of excellence the Squadron strives for in every mission.
