Attached above the disc, a Yellow scroll edged with a narrow Black border inscribed "UNMANNED UNARMED UNAFRAID" in Black letters.

Attached below the disc, a Yellow scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "691ST ARMAMENT SYSTEMS SQ" in Black letters.


Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The target supported by wings represents an aerial target. The wings of a dove symbolize passiveness and peacefulness, the unarmed attributes of the aerial target. The globe represents worldwide reach. The tower signifies the unmanned nature of the aerial target. The lightning bolt denotes the communications functions of the unit.
