On a disc Azure, gridlined throughout Or, an American bald eagle stooping in midair and couped at sinister wing tip Proper, grasped within the eagle's talons a stylized bomb Argent (Silver Gray), nose and end Sable, all within a narrow border Sable.

Attached below the disc, a White scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "685TH ARMAMENT SYSTEMS SQ" in Black letters.


Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The global grid lines represent the nation's unity and the unit's commitment to global protection. The eagle with wings displayed represents the defense of our nation's freedom against all enemies. The bomb reflects the power and capability of the Squadron.
