Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The American bald eagle symbolizes all Department of Defense aviation platforms. The runway represents the final mission accomplishment. The eagle on the final approach to the runway alludes to the Squadron's mission to develop, procure, field and sustain fixed and mobile precision landing and navigation air traffic control systems. The Latin motto, "REVERTENT PER TEMPESTATES," translates in English to "THEY WILL RETURN THROUGH THE STORMS."
