Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The upper half of the background denotes the vigor, power and tenacity of the unit. The lower half of the background signifies the knowledge, leadership and courage of the Squadron's personnel. The lightning bolt symbolizes the Squadron's operational domain-cyberspace. The gauntlet wielding the lightning bolt both pays tribute to the unit's communication heritage and represents the Squadron's ability to gain and maintain cyberspace superiority.
