Description/Blazon

Per bend sinister Sable and Azure, above a bendlet sinister Or, in dexter a chess board Argent and of the second, charged with a knight of the first, fimbriated of the fourth, emitting six lightning bolts of the third, three to dexter and three to sinister, in base a stylized torch Gules, winged of the third, flame Proper, two flames as lightning bolts arching to dexter and sinister chief, all within a diminished bordure of the third.

Attached below the disc, a White scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "691ST ISR GROUP" in Blue letters.


Symbolism

The winged torch honors the unit's lineage, and the lightning bolts emanating from the torch symbolize its historic ties to the electronic security mission.
