Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The three-bladed sword suggests the cypher "IW" and reflects the unit's designation. The sword also denotes the role that information plays in shaping the outcome of modern combat operations. The matrix grid symbolizes the technical complexity of information systems and the global Internet as it relates to the modern battlefield. The globe on the blue background represents the unit's worldwide engagement capability and vigilance of national defense.
