Description/Blazon

On a disc Azure, issuing from base a globe Vert gridlined Sable, overall a cubit arm in armor, in bend, issuing from sinister, the hand grasping a sword point to chief Silver Gray, grip and pommel of the third, and two lightning bolts in saltire Or, all within a narrow border Yellow.

Attached above the disc, a White scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "SEMPER VIGILATO SEMPER PARO" in Yellow letters.

Attached below the disc, a White scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "608TH STRATEGIC OPERATIONS SQ" in Yellow letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The stylized globe signifies the unit's span of mission operations. The armored cubit arm represents power and loyalty. The sword is a symbol of strength. The lightning bolts symbolize lethality and speed.
