Description/Blazon

On a disc per pale Azure and Celeste, between two arcing lightning bolts Or, a bird of prey voided of the field, detailed Sable, eyed of the third, pupils highlighted Argent, issuing from base a globe per pale of the second and of the first, gridlined Yellow, all within a narrow border Black.

Attached above the disc, a Yellow scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "AIR SUPERIORITY GLOBAL WATCH" in Black letters.

Attached below the disc, a Yellow scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "577TH SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE SQ" in Black letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The bird of prey represents the Squadron's supported weapon systems' watchful eye and ability to operate with precision, denying and controlling the enemy in various environments. The globe represents the unit's global mission and reach. The lightning bolts represent the strong voice and data communication abilities. The division of the dark and light background represents the Squadron's around the clock watch.
