Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The mailed fist is a symbol of fortitude and also represents the Squadron as ground combat warriors. The crenellated background represents clouds, and the fist extends into it to show that it will not stop the unit. The aircraft circling the globe reflects the rapid response, global nature of the mission.
