Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The black background signifies uncertainty of a contingency, where danger is highest. The two yellow borders to the bend represent immediate response in combat to the global mission. The three white parachutes symbolize valor, honor and purity.
