Description/Blazon
Azure, a stylized bald eagle volant Sable, head Argent, eyed, beaked, and legged Or, highlighted Celeste, grasping a globe of the second, gridlined of the fourth, axis bendwise sinister and encircled from behind a contrail bendwise Gules, terminating in an aircraft silhouette ascending to dexter of the third, all within a diminished bordure Yellow.

Attached below the shield, a White scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "516TH AERONAUTICAL SYSTEMS WING" in Blue letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The eagle represents freedom, honor and valor. The eagle's spread wings represent airlift superiority. The aircraft represents the various mobility aircraft systems the Wing manages. The aircraft's contrail surrounding the globe signifies the unit's excellence in providing global mobility capabilities for the Nation.
