Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The eagle, symbol of noble nature, strength and bravery, with wings fully displayed denoting protection, is carrying the Key of Guardianship and Dominion with a lightning bolt for swiftness and power. These elements have long been the symbols of career logisticians. The three stars signify the sustained excellent support given to the Center, Command and the Air Force. The Latin motto, "SUSTINENDO EXCELLENTIAM," translates to "SUSTAINING EXCELLENCE" in English.
