Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The Warrior symbolizes the team it takes to fly, fight and win. The spear represents the unit's part in launching Air Force missions. The motto, "PEOPLE MISSION EXCELLENCE" proclaims the Squadron's priorities of supporting the Airmen and their families (PEOPLE), guaranteeing world-class support and success in any tasking (MISSION), and settling for nothing short of the absolute best of the unit's Airmen and recognizing their accomplishments (EXCELLENCE).
