Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The wolf symbolizes effective patient care. Wolves travel in packs to be effective, just as the Squadron utilizes several diverse specialties in their efforts to deliver effective patient care. The mountains represent the ever changing challenges the unit has to overcome to take care of their own. The sun alludes to healing light and also refers to the primary mission of the unit to prevent diseases and heal the sick and injured. The Latin motto, "DUM VITA EST SPES EST," translates to "WHILE THERE IS LIFE THERE IS HOPE," in English.
