Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The black owl embodies the wisdom and determination of the unit members, its highlights signify courage and patriotism and the sacrifices made in service. The eyes portray hope for the nations the unit helps to rebuild. The owl is in flight, representing the expeditionary mission of the Squadron. The open book represents the adaptability of the unit members in accurately executing their advisory mission. The field matches that of the parent unit and infers the close alignment of the subordinate's mission.
