Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The irregular partition line suggests the unit's medical expertise and functions when interfacing with the Air Force's mission in peace and war. The horse represents the vigilance and the readiness needed in responding to peacetime trauma or wartime injury. The flight symbol descending to signify victory denotes the personnel to whom the Squadron provides its services.
