Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The griffin represents the death defying vigilance and bravery of the unit. The globe denotes the worldwide theatre of the unit's missions and the crossed lightning bolt and quill pen allude to the Squadron's mission areas that manage and maintain mission records. The motto "IMPLACABILIS" translates in English to "Relentless."
