Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The blue field represents the Squadron's foundations of Air Force tradition and values. The torch superimposed upon the sunburst embodies the unit spirit shining to all points of the compass, while the globe is reminiscent of comrades deployed overseas and the global vision in fulfillment of the mission. The motto, "Exceeding Expectations," emphasizes both the Squadron tradition and its constant goal.
