Symbolism

Ultramarine Blue and Air Force Yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The Pegasus represents the unit's mission to supply and transport, as Pegasus supplied lightning bolts to Zeus. The lightening bolts symbolize protection and, combined with the key, represent the incorporation of the 99th Logistics, the 99th Transportation and the 99th Supply into one Squadron. The stars signify the Squadron's contributions to aerospace power.
