Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The eagle represents spirit of freedom, power, strength and long life. The caduceus on a cross signifies the medical mission, healing and health support. The stars symbolize both the units of the medical group and the units on Nellis AFB and Creech AFB that they support to accomplish the air and space mission. The Latin motto, "HONOR VIRUTIS PREAMIUM," translates to "HONOR IS THE REWARD OF VIRTUE" in English.
