Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The globe symbolizes the unit's ability to reach anywhere on the planet with its weapons. The missile pays homage to the color of the SAC mailed fist and the original missile operations badge. The clouds represent strength, loyalty and the Squadron's all-encompassing support of the mission. The lightning flashes signify the speed with which the unit can attack.
