Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The chess knight over flight symbols rising symbolizes the dedication of the Squadron to airfield support and to the flying unit it services. The bars gemel allude to a "hold short line" and along with the runway center line are indicative of the unit's pride in providing the best airfield operations possible.
