Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The knight holding the sword and shield, with crossed wrenches, represents the Squadron's aircraft maintenance mission. The knight also represents the pride and courage exhibited by the Squadron members in accomplishing the unit mission. The motto, "SALVUS TEMPORI FIRMUS," translates in English to "Safe Timely Reliable."
