Description/Blazon

On a disc Azure, a delta, point to chief Or, surmounted by a Rod of Aesculapius, rod Argent entwined by a rattlesnake head to sinister with its tail reflexed over the base of the delta, Brown detailed Sable, all within a narrow border Yellow.

Attached above the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "READINESS SERVICE EDUCATION" in Yellow letters.

Attached below the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "82D DENTAL SQUADRON" in Yellow letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The triangle signifies the strength, devotion and vigilance of the unit. The Rod of Aesculapius is a traditional medical symbol.
