Description/Blazon

On a disc Azure, a cross couped Gules issuant from base in pale a dexter hand Or, grasping a sinister hand affronté Buff, grasping a sinister cubit arm affronté Yellow, all within a diminished bordure of the last.

Attached above the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "81ST MEDICAL OPERATIONS SQ" in Yellow letters.

Attached below the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "COURTESY CARING CONFIDENCE" in Yellow letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The cross is indicative of the Squadron's medical functions. The three grasping hands signify the medical support the unit provides and reflect the courtesy, care and confidence exhibited by Squadron personnel.
