Description/Blazon

On a disc Celeste, fimbriated Sable, a stylized Falcon of Azure and Argent, beak and talons Or, eyed and clawed of the second, grasping a sword point bendwise sinister of the fifth and second, grip of the fourth, pommel Black and a sack Vert detailed Black inscribed with a dollar symbol of the fifth, issuant from dexter base three stylized flight symbols of the third emitting Black contrails, all within a narrow border Yellow.

Attached above the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "A POSSE AD ESSE" in Yellow letters.

Attached below the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "71ST COMPTROLLER SQUADRON" in Yellow letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The Falcon grasping a sword and money bag symbolizes the unit's fiduciary commitment to the nation and its ability in financial resources. The three stylized aircraft emitting contrails represent the flying training mission of the wing.
