Description/Blazon

On a disc Azure, an armed knight Proper lunging arraswise affronté with sword aversant point down terminating to dexter, detailed, belted and sheathed Sable, helmet guard, hilt, pommel and two Pole Stars to dexter and sinister sides of the chest plate Or, eyed Gules, and a shield guardant on sinister arm, blazoned: Gray, charged with a key ward to base in bend sinister of the fourth, all within a narrow border Yellow.

Attached above the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "SILVER KNIGHTS" in Yellow letters.

Attached below the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "70TH INTEL SUPPORT SQ" in Yellow letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The silver knight with drawn sword and shield signifies a continuous charge to provide information, intelligence support and eternal vigilance in defense of the country. The charged key to the shield represents the assurance of information through the intelligence community.
