Description/Blazon

On a disc Azure, a stylized sun in splendor Or, issuing ten rays embattled of the second, surmounted by a demi-globe issuing from base Vert gridlined of the first, overall a Griffin Sanguine, pupil and details Sable, eye, armed and langued Yellow, all within a narrow border Yellow.

Attached above the disk, a Black scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "LIKE NO OTHER" in Yellow letters.

Attached below the disk, a Black scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "61ST CIVIL ENG & LOGISTICS SQ" in Yellow letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The Griffin represents the unit as a combined whole on the ground and in the air when executing deployment capabilities. The globe signifies the world wide mission without national borders. The sun symbolizes the non-stop mission role and commitment. The embattled rays signify the logistics and engineering roles of the unit. Each of the ten rays represents one of the Air Expeditionary Forces.
