Description/Blazon

On a disc Celeste, a stylized escutcheon blazoned: "Per bend torqued Azure and Gules within a diminished bordure Sable." Superimposed by a lightning bolt palewise Argent, enveloped by a semi-circle open to chief and cuspated with barbs Or, detailed Sable, all within a narrow bordure Black.

Attached above the disc, a White scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "51ST LOGISTICS SUPPORT SQ" in Black letters.

Attached below the disc, a White scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "SUSTAINING THE CHARGE" in Black letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The Ying-Yang shield is representative of the unit's role in Korea of providing protection, partnership and commitment to its defense. The lightning bolt symbolizes the power and strength of protection they provide. The dual headed arrow circle pointing upwards denotes all encompassing duties, responsibilities and support associated with the unit's mission.
