Description/Blazon

Azure, a globe Or gridlined Sable, in dexter chief a flight symbol ascending bendwise sinister emitting a contrail environing the globe bendwise and a flight symbol in sinister chief ascending bendwise emitting a contrail environing the globe in saltire with the other contrail Gules, overall, two head silhouettes addorsed and conjoined Sable surmounted by a dexter facing head Argent, all within a diminished bordure Black.

Attached above the disc a Green scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "49TH MISSION SUPPORT SQ" in Black letters.

Attached below the disc a Green scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "PEOPLE FIRST "in Black letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The globe with flight symbols in orbit reflects the unit's objectives of providing continuous worldwide support to the Air Force mission.
