Description/Blazon

Azure, a lightning flash bendwise Or, surmounted by a globe Light Blue with axis bendwise gridlined Argent supporting a demi-panther reversed salient Proper (Black) arm and detailed White, all within a diminished bordure Yellow.

Attached above the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "43D OPERATIONS SUPPORT SQ" in Yellow letters.

Attached below the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed with "SELDOM SEEN ALWAYS THERE" in Yellow letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The lightning flash reflects the energy and speed with which the unit goes into action. The panther represents the power and stealth exhibited by the unit. The globe is significant of the scope of the unit's response and commitment to perform its mission anywhere, anytime.
