Azure, three swords, one in pale point to base and two in saltire points to chief Proper, hilted and pommeled Or, surmounted at fess point by a pellet charge with a lamp of knowledge Argent, shaded Silver Gray and enflamed Gules, all within a narrow bordure Yellow.

Attached below the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed with "33D FIELD INVESTIGATIONS SQ" in Yellow letters.


Blue and yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The three swords signify the primary missions of the Washington Field Office. The globe signifies the scope of the unit's mission. The lamp of knowledge symbolizes light and learning.
