Description/Blazon

On a disc Sable, issuant from base a globe Azure gridlined of the first, emitting a contrail Or terminating in a cross Gules, all environed by two contrails of the same terminating in two flight symbols ascending points to chief bendwise and bendwise sinister Argent, all within a narrow border Yellow.

Attached above the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "HOMELAND AND GLOBAL REACH" in Yellow letters.

Attached below the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "30TH MEDICAL SUPPORT SQUADRON" in Yellow letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The black background represents the infinity of space. The globe symbolizes the homeland and global mission. The red cross signifies the blood of life and is an international symbol of medical care, its contrail represents the enormity of the unit's mission. The flight symbols to the left and right, contrailing around the globe, allude to space vehicles launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base.
