Description/Blazon

On a disc Sable, a griffin sejant eyed Gules and beaked Or, dexter paw resting on a terrestrial globe in dexter Proper, in dexter chief a lightning burst Gules, charged with a second burst and emitting three radiant lightning flashes to base overall Or, all within a diminished bordure Light Blue.

Attached below the shield, a Black scroll inscribed "28TH OPERATIONS SUPPORT SQ" in Blue letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The griffin suggests the valor and vigilant strength of the Squadron. The lightning flashes and globe represent the explosive nature of the unit's global engagement capabilities necessary for successful missions.
