Description/Blazon

Azure, above a base irregular as an electrocardiograph strip (EKG) read out Vert, a cross couped enhanced Gules charged with a caduceus Sable, all within a narrow bordure Black.

Attached above the disc, a Yellow scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "27TH MEDICAL OPERATIONS SQ" in Black letters.

Attached below the disc, a Yellow scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "HEARTBEAT OF THE MISSION" in Black letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. Red symbolizes the valor of Air Force members. Green signifies the fertility of the land. The red cross and caduceus represent the Medical Corps and the EKG strip shows the heartbeat of care and compassion shown by medical personnel.
