Description/Blazon

On a disc Sable, a chief piley of twelve in point Gules and Or, in base a representation of the constellation Scorpio chased and voided of the field involved with five, four pointed mullets Argent and one central four pointed mullet of the second, all within a narrow border Blue.

Attached below the disc, a Yellow scroll edged with a narrow Blue border and inscribed "12TH INFORMATION WARFARE FLIGHT" in Blue letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The white scorpion symbolizes wisdom and stealth, the cunning nature of information operations. The red and yellow rays of the sun signify the unit's never ending tasks and support of the 12th Air Force. The six stars represent the six original Information Warfare Flights born out of Corona in 1998, the center star symbolizing courage and patriotism.
