Description/Blazon

Azure, as a globe, gridlines and land masses Sable charged with a cross couped Gules overall a flight symbol volant fesswise to dexter Or; all within a diminished bordure Black.

Attached above the disc, a Green scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "9TH MEDICAL SUPPORT SQ" in Black letters.

Attached below the disc, a Green scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "AD ASTRA PER ASPERA" in Black letters.


Symbolism

Blue and yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The globe suggests the unit's worldwide mission. The red cross symbolizes the medical mission of the unit. The flight symbol refers to the unit's valor and vigilance in support of the flying mission of the Air Force in the defense of peace.
