Description/Blazon

On a disc per bend sinister enhanced Sable and Azure, a bend sinister angled twice before the fess point and ending in a delta, point to sinister chief Or, between in chief four mullets arrayed in an arch largest to smallest bend wise sinister Argent, and issuant from base contrails of the like emanating from two flight symbols fess wise points to chief Silver Gray; all within a narrow border Yellow.

Attached above the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "SETTING THE STANDARD" in Yellow letters.

Attached below the disc, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "2D MANPOWER REQUIREMENTS SQ" in Yellow letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The black background in chief represents space. The angled bend sinister describes the development of manpower standards. The stars in chief indicate the transformation requirements for the Air and Space Expeditionary Force. The flight symbols signify the Air Mission and reflect the unit's numerical designation.
