Description/Blazon

On a disc as a globe Azure, gridlined Sable, four contrails per cross terminating in stylized flight symbols Or, overall a U.S. Postal Eagle of the second, edged and garnished Argent; all within a border parted per border White and Black.

Attached above the disc, a White scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "FIRST CLASS SERVICE" in Black letters.

Attached below the disc, a White scroll edged with a narrow Black border and inscribed "2D AIR POSTAL SQ" in Black letters.


Symbolism

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The United States Postal Eagle symbolizes the military postal service overseas. The globe is representative of the expeditious service provided worldwide. The aerospace symbols aligned to the compass signify the scope of the unit's responsibility in transporting mail in times of war and peace.
